Elegant Buns – Christian Siriano

For the fall 2025 Christian Siriano show, the only thing on the designer’s mind was a race track. Not the cars, per se, but rather the intricate lining found on its turf. This translated to glossy, slicked-back buns with squiggly pieces of hair scattered from the nape to the crown. After perusing some of the runway looks ahead of the show, lead hairstylist and Tresemmé partner Lacy Redway was inspired to transform the hair into “ribbons to resemble the winding roads on a racetrack,” she says. To start, she applied the Tresemmé A-List All-In-One Style Primer to damp hair before slicing the hair into a ponytail with the Mega Control Gel. She also used loads of the Mega Control Gel to the ponytail and twisted the gel-laced hair into “ribbons.” To lock it all in place, the final steps were spraying the hair with the Freeze Hold Hairspray and adding a touch of gloss with the Lacquer Shine Spray.
Ulla Johnson

This Ulla Johnson design emphasizes movement, texture, and detail, and the fall 2025 specifically focused on woven knits and intricate lines. The hair looks ranged from fishtail braids to soft waves to stitch cornrows, all created by lead hairstylist Mustafa Yanaz. “We chose a fishtail braid because it adds texture and depth without overpowering the clothes. From the front, it feels effortless and simple, but as you turn, the intricate braid reveals itself, echoing the hidden details woven into the collection,” he shared in a press release. He began working in the Tresemmé A-List Collection All-In-One Style Primer throughout dry hair and added texture using a mousse before diving into the different braid styles for the models.

The Blonds

You can always expect voluminous, extravagant beauty at The Blonds. This year, models donned bouffant buns that rested on the perimeter of their heads à la the updo Blade Runner character Rachel wore. Kien Hoang relied on the Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray to smooth and firm the hair to create a slicked ponytail. He then fastened a molded form to the models’ head for the rolled shape and then smoothed the ponytail over the form. From there, he added the Curl Gelee for Shine & Definition for extra gloss.

Altuzarra
The hair at Altuzarra was kept minimal to stay true to the individual identities of the models and the understated elegance of Altuzarra. To do this, Mandee Tauber, Oribe principal artist of global design, gave the traditional bun a pretzel-like update. She gathered all the hair into a ponytail and smoothed any flyaways using a finishing cream and Free Styler Working Hair Spray. Then, she twisted the ponytail upward and secured the twist style with another elastic band.

Bedhead – Prabal Gurung

The hottest hair trend on the runways is looking perfectly undone. Allow the models at Prabal Gurung to show you how chic doing virtually nothing to your hair can be. “This look is all about enhancing your hair’s natural texture–as if you were waking up in the morning from a fun night out–and the TRESemmé A-List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray plays a key part in achieving these undone, lived-in locks,” she explains in a press release. She rubbed the Tresemmé All-In-One Style Primer throughout the hair and used a flat iron to create subtle waves in the hair. Then, she added volume and texture with the A-List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray.

Monse

Bedhead hair reigned over at Monse, too. Kein Hoang protected the hair using the Oribe Balm d’Or Heat Styling Shield and Gold Lust Dry Heat Protection Spray. Then, Hoang used a small-barrel curing iron on different hair textures to create soft waves and added the Thick Dry Texturizing Spray to the roots for volume.
