This isn’t my first Amazon Prime Day; I’ve covered the savings event fastidiously for the past three years. So when I tell you it’s a BFD that Amazon Luxury Stores is included in this year’s Prime Day sales, I really mean it.
While the two-day sale sees markdowns on thousands of items across Amazon’s vast inventory, its designer brands have historically been excluded from discounts. Imagine my surprise, then, when I found the following information quietly hidden in one of the massive e-tailer’s corners, many clicks away from the home page:
During Amazon Prime Day, July 16-17, Prime members can save an additional 20 percent off select items with code LUXPRIME24 at checkout.
Direct me to the nearest rooftop so I can shout this to the masses, please. Naturally, terms and conditions do apply, but the promotion is valid for savings up to $1,000—that’s a lot of dollars!
Included items span fashion, accessories, and even beauty from high-end brands, including Rick Owens, Rodarte, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Monpure, and Pietro Simone (which happens to be one of Alix Earle’s favorites).
You can expect to see a plethora of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, so consider stocking up. And while we’re in the thick of summer right now, there’s also an abundance of ski gear from brands like Perfect Moment included in the sale. Keen-eyed shoppers will also find a variety of swim sets, bridal-ready frocks, and Moon Boots for 10 percent off.
In case you haven’t heard, Amazon also offers pre-loved designer items from iconic labels like Gucci, Fendi, Chrome Hearts, Louis Vuitton, Thom Browne, Chanel, Hermes, Balenciaga, Dior, and more—and these items are marked down, too.
If you don’t find anything in the Prime Day-specific offerings, there’s also several other designer sales running concurrently on Amazon, which offers up to 60 percent off other select items. Oh, and you can shop Larroudé’s editor-loved shoes at up to 50 percent off.
